# Verify the recipient-portal login code

> Second step of the recipient-portal login flow. Validates only the latest six-digit numeric code; five failed well-formed attempts burn the active challenge across source IPs. Success clears challenge state, marks the Redis session `logged_in=true`, and binds it to the recipient entity.
