# Remove a saved donor payment method

> Uses the logged-in donor session within the requested client. Removes an owned Stripe payment method/legacy source or the donor’s saved Flutterwave v4 method. A current default or active saved bank method cannot be removed while an unexpired active card/bank commitment (methods3,8,9,10,12) depends on payment details; update that method first. Stripe origin/customer ownership is checked and a concurrent verified replacement is preserved. Missing/blank card_id returns404; unsupported gateway returns422.
