# Donation count + amount roll-up for a date window

> Returns counted and summed donation totals scoped to the caller's client across the supplied date range. Splits monetary versus in-kind donations (in-kind is detected by the `IN_KIND` method constant) so the dashboard can render them separately. Excludes refunded rows from `donations`/totals; counts zero-amount rows and `transaction_status = failed` rows as `failed`. Defaults `date_from` and `date_to` to today when omitted. Requires permission: `donations_view` (also satisfied by `donations_manage`).
