# Delete a note

> Soft-deletes a staff note by ID (sets `deleted_at`; the record is retained and recoverable). The note must belong to the authenticated user's client. Admin users call this from the notes panel when removing donor or recipient notes. Requires the admin API auth middleware and user permission checks.
